Thoughts: I was unsure about listening to this because I find historical fiction about Appalachia heart-rending, but even in the darkest parts of this story, there was hope.
Thoughts: There was so much happening in this book that I think the device of only see one day out of the year for multiple years may have hindered it slightly.
Author: Joanne Ramos Publisher: Random House Audio ISBN: n/a
Thoughts: Very enjoyable characters, but I am very curious about the whole plot - the Author's Note explains where the idea for characters came from, but not where the idea for the premise came from.
Thoughts: Starts off kind of slow, but once it gets going, it is amazing. The epilogue, though, only seems to be there to tie it to the authors' first book.
